“Wait… are you… POSSESSING yourself???” I asked with incredulity.
He laughed. “Very good, you are powerful indeed. I am merely taking this opportunity to find out where I went wrong.”
“Right…” I said. He walked into a hallway, heading towards a room where merry sounds of laughter swam through the silence. I could hear a baby gurgling.
“Oh no, I can’t watch!” I thought.
“Scared of a little blood, sweetie? I forget that my curses don’t produce blood. Just lifeless bodies…” Voldemort laughed cruelly. I watched as he blasted the door to the room. I heard panicked shrieking and yelling. A man shouting “GO LILY! IT’S HIM! TAKE HARRY AND GO! I’LL HOLD HIM OFF!” I still stayed watching as a pretty, red-haired woman ran out of the room and up the stairs clutching a bundle in her shaking arms.
I turned back to the room to see the Dark Lord turn his wand on the man. One flash of blinding green light and he dropped to the floor. I winced.
“One down…” Voldemort said to me. The light from the room illuminated his gaunt pale features under the hood. A smile was playing around his thin lips. Despite my horror, I smiled too.
“See? You enjoy it really.” His smile broadened. He turned and floated up the stairs like a giant bat. I quickly followed. He was in a nursery now. I felt him scowling at the little stuffed toy owls hanging around the cot. He ignored my sniggering and walked towards the window. He ripped down the curtain to reveal the lady holding the bundle. She had her hand tightly over the bundle.
“You cannot escape. Hand over the boy,” Voldemort hissed at her.
“Never!” she screamed. “You will never take him! Take me instead!” The Dark Lord turned and looked at me.
'What? Am I supposed to do something?'
