Title: The Ghost

Chapter One

Chymera stood in front of the old deserted mansion and wondered what was inside. She had just discovered the old house and was wondering what had happened to the people who lived there. She decided to find out and then explore the old house tomorrow.
From her friends she discovered that an old boy lived there with his mother. His mother died and everyone says that he still lies with his mother in a secret passage in the house. Everyone has tried to find it but everyone has failed, or so they say. No one has ever come out of the house, either. Could they have found it and been locked in or could they have been stolen by the boy? "I can't wait to go in. Of course all the stories are fake, right? That ghost is never real, is it?"
My parents are gone and my sister, Corra, is at a party all night. This is a perfect time to go to the man-sion. I will go as soon as I eat dinner.
I had better put on pants and long sleeves so I won’t get chilled. It is late fall and the house is 2 miles away. I think I have everything, flashlight, gloves, backpack, snacks, paper, and a magnifing glass. I turned off all the lights and left a note in case I do not return.
I am standing in the kitchen and it is very dark. I grabbed my flashlight and looked around. It looked like a 60’s kitchen. It was very dusty and smelled bad. I moved on to the living room. All the chairs were covered with sheets and it was also very dusty. I saw to signs of human life so I moved on. I came to the stairs and decided to go up. At the top I entered a bedroom. The bed was made and there were clothes on the floor. It was not dusty and seemed as though someone had been living there recently.
I walked down the hall and saw a bathroom. There was wet toothpaste on the counter and the tub was wet. By then I was totally freaked out. Everyone had said that no one had been in the house for over 36 years. Investigators had thoroughly cleaned the house and inspected every room about 2 years ago. How could anyone have been in here ?
It was then that I realized that there must be a secret passage somewhere that they had missed that the boy and his mother must be living in. As I turned around I saw a bedroom that was lit up. As I walked in I realized that this must have been the master bedroom. Then I turned around and screamed.

Chapter Two

The wall was covered with blood, dried blood. This must be where the murder took place! I was excited and scared at the same time. I wondered why the investigators hadn’t found this. Is it a clue? At the end it had the word LIBRARY written in dark ink.
I left the room and started searching for the library. It was just down the hall. It was a huge room with moun-tains of old books stacked up. I grabbed a book and started leafing through it. I was so into the book that it took me a second to realize that I was in the dark.
I looked up and I did not see a thing. It was night so the windows were no help. I had no clue where I was or how to get out. I started walking around and tripped over something on the floor. I slammed into a wall and lost consciousness. The last thing I remember was the wall mov-ing.
When I awoke I was in a well-lit hallway. I turned around to see how I got in here but I couldn’t find a door. I saw and outline of a door but that was all. It then oc-curred to me that I must have gone through a trap door in the library when I hit it.
I walked up and down the hall several times so see where I could go next. I didn't even see an outline of a door. I leaned up against the wall to think. The wall moved and thrust me into another hallway that was dim. I started to hear strange noises. I was almost at the end of the hallway when I felt someone's hand on my shoulder. I turned around and saw something I will never forget.
