Title: Frindle

After reading Frindle, I think Andrew Clements is an excellent author because this book will keep you guessing throughout the story. In Frindle Nick’s days of joking around are over when he gets to 7th period language arts class with the Lone Granger. Getting an extra homework assignment on the first day of school was the beginning of Nick’s troubles. When Nick gets to Mrs. Granger he has a brilliant idea to change the word pen to “frindle” and everyone starts to say “frindle”. There is a lot of commotion and his parents want him to stop saying frindle, but it is not his word anymore, it belongs to everyone. I really liked Frindle because every chapter is better than the last one. I think fifth though eight graders everywhere should read this excellent book.
