Big-mouth
It's not fair
That you can do this to me,
Make me feel worthless
And stupid.
Then you have the nerve
To say you care,
But if that's true
Then why do you
Continue to shoot me down?
Why is it when
I finally find a piece
Of happiness,
A bit of peace,
You rip it away from me
With such hurtful words?
And you assume you
Know me,
Know how I feel,
And how my mind and heart work.
But let me tell you something,
You don't know
The first thing about me.
And you anger me
To levels I didn't know
Even existed.
Yet you continue to taunt,
To accuse and mock
While making blows to my pride,
As if to bend me to your will.
And what right do you have
To do this to me?
You know,
You aren't perfect either,
And until you are
I don't want to
Hear another word
From your wide-open mouth.
