Title: I don't like her, either.

'Harry?' Harry's thoughts were interrupted quite suddenly by a sharp voice behind him. 'Stop daydreaming! You're going to get in trouble!' hissed Hermione. 'Oh, lay off, will you? He's had enough to think about lately!' came Ron's reply from beside Harry. Harry couldn't help but feel grateful for Ron's loyalty, even though he knew he should be paying attention. This was, by far, the most boring Transfiguration lesson ever, and he was having a hard time not thinking about a girl he had just met. Her name was Naomi Dale, and he had asked her to go to Hogsmeade with him. Harry had no idea what they were going to do there, but she was definitely creative (and strange) enough to come up with a game from a paper cup and some tea bags. Harry smiled at the thought of throwing tea bags at Malfoy and saying it was the most exciting game he had ever played. The bell rang. Harry packed away his books and headed for the door. 'Harry!' someone called. Harry turned around. It was Neville, and he was holding a peice of paper in his hand. 'Oh good, you haven't left yet!' he panted. 'I just found this on the floor by my desk.' He held out the sheet of paper to Harry. It was an unfinished note from Naomi. There were a lot of places were things had been crossed out, and it was very difficult to read because the ink was smudged, and her handwriting was sloppy.
It said: 'Dear Harry,
Please don't hate me for this, but-'
The words 'I don't really like you'were crossed out heavily. Harry's heart sank. He had thought that Naomi liked him. How could she pretend to be friends with him and then up and say 'Hey, I think you're scum'? This didn't make any sense. 'Sure, it does,' said a voice from inside his head. 'She probably hasn't liked you for a while, now. She just didn't have the guts to tell you.' Harry didn't even bother trying to read the rest of the letter. 'Oh, yeah?' he said aloud to himself, ' Well, I don't think she should be messing with people like that! I'm not here for show! And yes, I do hate her, and yes, I'm sure a lot of people think I'm scum, but my friends don't.' He entered the Great Hall as everyone took their seats for lunch. 'And guess what?' Harry said as he walked up to Naomi and her group of friends. 'I don't really like you, either.'
