Title: The Secret Passage Chptr 19
My friends and I were resting at Olivine City. I had caught a Miltank and a Tauros. And I was happy to be resting in such a nice, pretty little place. Suddenly, the sky grew dark. I looked up, and I saw at least fifty hot air balloons . . . Meowth head balloons.
'Holy Remoraid!' I jumped up.
'How many Team Rocket duos does it take to defeat our Pokémon?' Silver asked.
'I don't know,' I said nervously, 'and I'm not sure I want to find out! Let's scram!' I scooped up Togepi and Pikachu and started running, closely followed by my friends.
Soon, I heard a crash and a loud cry from behind us. I looked back. Silver had gotten his foot twisted up in a root, and had fallen to the ground.
'Silver!' I ran to my friend's side. 'Come on, Silver!'
Silver stood up slowly, but at that moment, all of the Team Rocket members were right on top of us. Both of us closed our eyes and braced for the worst.
'Pika!' I heard Pikachu cry as it leaped over my head to protect me.
I snapped my eyes open. 'Pikachu! Stop!'
All of the Rockets gave orders at the same time.
'Tackle!'
'Bubblebeam!'
'Iron Tail!'
'Smog!'
'Poison Sting!'
'Hyper Fang!'
'Pikachu!' I screamed.
All of the Rockets' Pokémon attacked. Pikachu got bitten, scratched, slapped, and hit all over its little body.
'Pikachu!' Pikachu was seriously injured. It started to fall to the ground.
'Pikachu!' I ran over and caught my Pokémon in my arms. It was bruised, scraped, and bleeding.
Pikachu smiled at me. 'Pikachu, Chu.'
I knew what was happening when Pikachu said that, when it said, 'Bye, Crystal.'
'Pikachu! No! You can't die!' I started to cry.
'Pikachu.'
'Pikachu! No! I love you!'
'Pi ka!' Pikachu cried. Then it blinked, and closed it's eyes. It went limp in my arms.
'Pikachu!' I cried. Instantly, everything Pikachu and I had ever been through flashed through my mind. The day I had first got it, how Erika had scared it and I had settled it down, how Pichu had defeated Team Rocket the first time we encountered them, making fun of Team Rocket later, and all the other things that had made our friendship so wonderful.
All of the Team Rocket members, plus everyone around, was absolutely silent.
