Title: The Secret Passage Chptr 21
Soon we heard about a Pokémon Talent Show. It wasn't for battling . . . it was like a real talent show. We decided to enter as a group.
'We each have to have at least one Pokémon with each of us in the show.'
'I'll use my Totodile,' Silver said. 'And my Jigglypuff learned how to play the flute, really well.'
'Larvitar!' Nick shouted. 'And my Vulpix knows how to play the piano.'
'I'm using Pikachu, of course!' I shouted. Pikachu was delighted!! 'But Togepi, too.' I smiled. 'Pikachu knows how to play the piccolo. But it would rather dance with Togepi.'
We came up with an act. Silver's voice and my voice were the best, so we would be singing the Pokémon trainer's song. Nick would play drums. Jigglypuff would play the flute, and Vulpix would play piano. Totodile, Larvitar, Pikachu, and Togepi would be dancing in a line in front of us.
The day of the show finally came. We – all of the trainers – were all wearing matching outfits – red T-shirts, blue jeans, and white tennis shoes.
I waited for the first three notes of the flute, then I started to sing the song with Silver:
'I wanna be the very best,
Like no one ever was!
To catch them is my real test,
To train them is my cause!
I will travel across the land,
Searching far and wide!
Each Pokémon, to understand,
The power that's inside!
Pokémon! Gotta catch 'em all!
It's you and me!
I know it's our destiny!
Pokémon!
You're my best friend, in a world we must defend!
Pokémon! Gotta catch 'em all!
A heart so true!
Our courage will pull us through!
You teach me and I'll teach you!
Pokémon! Gotta catch 'em all!
Gotta catch 'em all, Pokémon!'
After that, the crowd went wild! They wanted an encore, and the second time around, they sang along, clapped and cheered!
We ended up winning the show, too. The prize were tickets for the S. S. Aqua.
Yay! Another adventure!
