Title: The Secret Passage Chptr 24 (Con't 1)

I frowned. 'Well, Erika's broken off from the group for reasons unknown. And Nick, well, Nick recently ran off, too. I expect they're both entering the League though.'
'Ah.' Terry smiled. 'Why hello Pikachu! The last time I saw you, you were just a little Pichu. How are you doing?'
'Pika pika!' Pikachu said.
'It says that it's doing really well, and it's going to help me win the Pokémon League,' I said, laughing.
Terry and Silver laughed, too.
Terry nodded. 'Wasn't there a Pokémon that I was supposed to take care of?'
'Oh, yeah!' I said. I reached into my back pack and pulled Togepi out again. 'This is Togepi. It's only fought once, so I don't really want to make it fight in the League.'
Terry smiled. 'It's so cute! I'll be happy to take care of Togepi.' She looked at Silver and I. 'I rented out a house for us to stay in while the Pokémon League is taking place.'
'Oh, cool!' Silver said. 'Where is it?'
'Follow me,' said Terry. She started to walk down a tiny path.
Silver and I followed closely behind.
Finally, we stopped at a clearing in the woods. 'Well, here it is!' Terry said happily.
I smiled. The house was built in the middle of the clearing. It was pretty big, and it had a huge front porch. Plus there was what's called a widow's walk on the roof. They call them widow's walks because women would watch from them to see if their husbands were coming back from war at sea and lots of they time, they would become widows. It was anyone's guess as to why someone would need a widow's walk in the middle of the woods....
Then I saw that there was a tiny little lake next to the house. But it wasn't connected to another body of water at all, and no battle ship could fit in it.
'Wow, Terry, this is wonderful,' I said, smiling. 'It's so beautiful.'
'Yeah!' Silver agreed. 'It's really nice!'
Terry grinned widely. 'I thought you guys would both like it.' She turned to Pikachu. 'What do you think about it, Pikachu?'
Pikachu smiled. 'Pikapi!'
'It says, 'I just love it!'' I translated.
'Tokipi!' Togepi gurgled happily.
'Togepi thinks so, too,' I said. Just then, something crossed my mind. 'Terry, do you know the time?'
Terry looked at her wristwatch. 'It's about 11:56. Why?'
'Oh, no!' I shouted in panic. 'The preliminaries start at noon!'
Let's see here, I thought. I need something fast. I know....
'I choose you, Rapidash!' I shouted.
Rapidash appeared in a flash of light. It neighed.
