chapter 7
Perry? Could it be the same Perry that was so close to my father? The David Perry
that had become such a friend to the family?
Right then, I went into what was like complete shock. And complete denial. No, it
couldn’t be the Perry I knew. It just couldn’t!
Perry jogged to his truck outside. I knew it was a truck, because my eye was still
up to the hole in the sack in which I was being carried in. In the distance I could hear
sirens. But the police weren’t going to make it in time. They might run Perry down, if he
took a route that the police could follow without loosing him. But the chance of Perry
being caught was slim. The sirens told me that, by the simple fact that the wail was soft,
and not getting louder much faster.
Perry opened the passenger side of the truck and threw me in. He then quickly shut
the door and shot to the driver’s side and jumped in.
'O.K., if you go with the flow and take it easy, then I won’t have to hurt you.'
Perry, of course.
'Or as easy as I can take it when I’m being kidnapped.' I mumbled in return. But
Perry paid me no mind.
