Title: To teach.
I dream I'll make a difference in many lives, moulding them for the better, guiding students as they chose their own paths in to the world so full of oppertunity. And yet so filled with sorrow. But I want to help them back to joy, to the happiness that we all deserve to be blessed with.
I want to smile and see them smiling as I ramble on, pointing out small facts as I read the work of art set before me. I want to see that at least one of them will be listening, totally engrossed in the thick plot of the story I am reading.
I long to see the classroom, the place where I will make a difference, open windows for those who are trapped by closed doors. I want to enhance existing knowledge, set imagination free, and inspire them to work hard, to achieve what they know they can, what I know they can.
And I want to watch them mature, discover facts about themselves that they never knew. I want to watch them grow up, open up and grow more confident, more assertive. I want to watch them progress from children to adults.
And mostly I want to help. I want to guide them with their work, but also with other aspects of their life, even if it's just to listen. Maybe I could be their lifeline, someone who truly helped them.
And I am fuelled by the commpassion to do so. More than anything I crave to teach. And I will. I will make that difference.
