Title: My Pet Turtle
My pet is a fresh water Turtle. My mom said Turtle very fast but it came out sounding as Turkle. I liked the name so I named him Turkle. I think that it is an awesome name!
I wanted a pet that could swim in water and also something you could touch. All the times before I had only fish for a pet. You can't touch them but you could only look at them. So I asked my mom and dad to get me a fresh water Turtle. They agreed as long as I took good care of him. I bought him at Jack's Aquarium.
He used to eat gold fish only in the store. But since my dad is a vegetarian we fed him pellets. I was relieved when he adjusted to eating pellets. He was big and you could take him out of the water and pet him. He swam a lot like a Gold Fish. He loved sitting on the rocks. He used to talk to me by scratching the tank. He would scratch the tank whenever he was bored or hungry or just wanted to be lifted out of the tank. He was very old but did a lot of good tricks. He had blue and yellow stripes on his shell. His eyes were red in color.
I think that having a Turtle, as a pet is good as you can take him out of the water any time if you feel like petting him. I felt that it was a big responsibility to take care of him. I am glad that I have Turkle for a pet.
