Title: Breaking the Darkness-Part 1
Linwe Saralonde strided up the steps of her father's kingdom in the Woodland Realm, her long blonde hair, swayed from side to side as she stepped. Her bow and arrows were at her side, carved with the excellent craftmenship of the Elven Smiths, the Elven trees on the arrows were done with care. Her black dress, covered up by a worn Elven Silk cape, wavered as her foot touched the sweet smelling grass without a print of her being there. Her steps went on, until finally they came to an end. The Elven gaurds bowed, and Linwe made her way towards the Gateway of Halas. As she went in, a lady that Linwe had never seen before appeared on a white horse.
Linwe payed no attention and turned to go into the kingdom's center, where the King of the Realm sat proudly on his throne.
'My daughter, what news do you bring from afar?' he greeted.
'Darkness creeps over Middle Earth my Lord. Dark times are ahead. What do you see in the future? Surely you know?' Linwe bowed, and took a seat at nereby table. 'My mind may not see that far.'
'Neither does mine, only darkness lays ahead, as far as I can tell.' He paused. 'I have brought you a lady, though she is not an Elf, a human that is. She will help you on a journey, that you must take. You are the only one I know that is not afraid to travel such distances in these dark times. You will accept, will you not?'
'I will. I would like more information on this lady, if there is time.' Linwe remarked.
'She is not an Elf, as I said before, but a human. She is not a warrior like you, and is longing for peace in her land. She is from Rohan, and her name is Lessien, she will be your companion through this journey, and she will be your guide, for the most part, especially through her land of Rohan, and of the neighboring Gondor. You will learn the rest as the journey goes on. Satisfied?' asked the King jokingly.
'Enough, except for one thing. Where am I going, or should I say where are we going?'
