Title: More Than Sad

Note: this is a true story.

Summer was over, and a new school year was starting. I was very disapointed, for I didn't want to go back to school yet. You see, when I was in 5th grade, I had good grades, not that I don't now, lol, but most of the time I got a higher score on a test than my friends did. Then every time I didn't do well, they were always like: 'Oh my gosh, did I get a better score than Molly!' and it bothered me. It was like they had this expectation of what I was going to get, and it made me feel as though I had to get that. So anyway, I was going to be in the 6th grade, and for some reason, probably the same one I just told you, I wasn't very happy that summer was over. The first day of school finally came. My best friend Ellie, my teacher's daughter who was in 7th grade this year, came up to me and said that we had a couple new students in my class. I walked in my classroom and right before me stood, who's now one of my best friends, a boy whose name was Ian Strom. As the days went by, I realized that Ian was different from the other boys and girls. He didn't have an expectation of me. This is what led me to hang out with him and my other guy friends. Ian was extremely nice, smart (in math), and very funny. Ian was now one of my best friends. After awhile something happened, Ian liked me. I was very sad, because this had happened to me before. I knew that if a boy liked me, that we would never be able to just be friends. Ian continued to like me, and I knew, but for another strange reason, we got to be really really good friends, and I was very happy that it didn't turn out any way else.
