Title: let me.
I’m beckoning to that shadow over there,
I see it drawing closer; thick within the air.
My smile fades at is gets nearer still,
I can taste it my mouth; bitter and so chilled.
I take a nervous step on forward,
I’m frightened to go toward it.
Heading towards the end of a pain filled life,
Walking to the end of my strife.
I’m eager and yet all so scared,
I wait; I know too well what is there.
It may be easier to say- who,
This has to work; she knows it too.
My life has spiralled out of my control,
It has to work; I’ll pay the toll,
I’ll face my worst nightmare,
It’s that person waiting over there.
I’ll speak; I’ll get it over with,
I’ll get my answers; my soul will lift,
I’ll make it though, I know I will,
That is if you let me; if you don’t it will kill.
And I’ll be stepping towards something else,
Something that will snatch the rest of my health.
