But Merenwen had already slipped down from her horse and was searching franticly for her necklace.”Suddenly a lightening bolt struck Merenwen and she lay there, unconscious. Linwe, not knowing any magic, could not help her sister. But then an elf hurried up towards them. She had long, black hair, deep green eyes, and a leather cloak, which covered her black top and skirt. She ran over to them. Her high boots clopping on the path. Quickly she summoned her magic and lifted Merenwen. “Thayet!” Cried Linwe, staring at her good looking young friend. Thayet smiled quickly and nodded towards a little black cottage that was giving out a lot of heat. Linwe hurried behind Thayet, pulling the horses behind her.
