Title: Santacruzan Festival
During the month of May, we Pray to Mama Mary & offer her flowers in the church everyday. I & my sister go to church to join other young girls & boys. After the offering of flowers, we enjoy the "merienda"given by the elder persons in our community.
This is a whole month celebration, & at the end of the month there is a grand parade of young girls. I enjoy this much because my sister & I got to wear our beautiful gowns we feel like princesses. We parade in the whole community as we join the elders recite the rosary. When we return to the church we would offer the flowers to Mama Mary. And of course we...enjoy the "merienda" again YUM! YUM!.
