Title: Breaking the Darkness Part 2

Lessien followed Linwe, carefully at first, that is until she became accustomed to the ways and the paths of the Elves. 'Long ago, Elven Smiths and Elven kind made these paths, but then came darkness, and it crept along our peaks and our falls and the boughs of our trees. It did not change the beauty of our lands, but it swallowed up our courage, our ways, and our paths.' Linwe went silent after she had spoken this, and Lessien gazed at the root bitten ground. Grief and pain came into her heart. 'Linwe, are we near the stables?' she asked, trying to push away the grief and sadness.
'We are close,' she lifted her to the sky, 'Yes, we are very close. Come on!' they went faster now, faster than before, and their pace quickened like a strike of lightning to a tree. They came unto a stable, guarded by a few Elven guards. Linwe spoke to the guards in a language that Lessien had not heard. The Elven lady, daughter of kings, finished her minute long speech, or talk, to the gaurds, and immediately they stood aside and let the two ladies pass. 'What did you say?' Lessien asked, once they were well inside the stable. 'As much as can be told, and it was enough.' Linwe replied, gathering to good, strong horses. 'We make haste, and ride to the end of my land, it's not far, about a one day's ride.' Linwe commanded, who was now gathering up lembas, or 'waybread.'
Lessien nodded to her companion's orders, and took out her sword. 'I'm afraid it's blunt, Linwe.'
Linwe took her sword and examined it. 'Blunt it may be, but not worthless. It is a strong and worthy sword,' Linwe called for one of the gaurds, and commanded him to take the sword to the Elven Smiths. 'They will make it strong and bold again.'
Linwe sat atop of her horse, Halas, named after her father's strong, well gaurded gate. 'Let us ride, Lessien, and start for oru journey before the sun ends it's duty!' Lessien lifted herself onto her horse, Dunduin, and they rode off.
They took a brief stop, and Linwe disappeared after long. She came back i nthe night, and pulled out a sword from her sheath. 'The Elven Smiths do not do a horrible job, it turned out quite nicely.' she smiled, and Lessien took the sword from Linwe.
'No, not a bad job.' Lessien grinned.
