Title: Eight Friends

Chapter 9 To the Temple of Elements
We were finally off that cold mountain, the sudden warmth sent a shocking chill up my spine. A giant block of ice shaped like an arrow fell out of the sky, it melted quickly, we went in the direction. Soon we saw a huge temple. We walked in. Inside we saw eight doors, one with the ice stone symbol on it. The ice stone came out and floated to the door as it opened, I grabbed the stone again. We were in a room similar to the ice dungeon! Ice lava everywhere! Dragon heads spitting ice fire! The whole enchilada! “I’d like to pick a bone with the decorator of this place,” said Sasha. Up ahead we saw a river with cold water, too long to jump, Sasha hadn’t enough magic to use her light bridge, only enough to levitate us across, one at a time. She waved her staff towards me and I fell in the river, I scrambled out quickly, I almost got knocked out cold from the temperature, that freezing river water stung my bare flesh in a way that it almost felt like burning hot, Sasha revived me with her staff. “I guess magic power doesn’t work in here, imagine that,” she whispered. “Ye-yee-yeah, i-ii-mma-gine, th-att!” I said still shivering. “Magic power doesn’t work here,” said Jose, “but spirit power does!” He ran as fast has he could, every time his foot landed on the water a block of ice formed. We walked over to the other side with Jose. There was another river, we decided to give Jose a break. On the ceiling were spikes above the water, Sheryl got out the giant boomerang threw it and it hit the spikes as they fell down into the water making platforms. We walked across. We stepped on a small platform that was glowing. We were magically transported into a room throbbing with magical and spiritual energy. Jose got out the ice stone and tried to put it in the indent in a wall shaped like the stone, but failed, he then looked like he just remembered something. He got out a sparkling flute made of ice, he played it as the soothing sound lifted the ice stone into the indent, we were transported out.
