Title: Funny Mr. Bear
Bear dog was a huge Bouvier des Flanders/German Sheppred cross. He weighed about 150 pounds. Bear loved kids and would always protect them from everyone. Even the parents. Bear's owner was baby sitting a sister and brother. Jed was about 3 years old when his dad showed up to pick him and his sister up. Well, Jed didn't want to go home so he ran towards the back of the yard. Jed's dad wasn't pleased with Jed and chased him picking him up while running. That was when Bear came to Jed's rescue. He grabed Jed's pant leg and started pulling Jed the opposite way. Jed's dad couldn't hang on to Jed so he told Bear, "Okay Bear I give up," while telling Jed he was going to get it when he got into the truck.
Another time Bear's owner was shovelling the driveway and decided to move the truck so she could clean the driveway easier. So she told Jed to stay in the driveway and wait. Jed wanted to watch to see where his sitter was turning the truck around. Not being able to see over the snow banks. But Bear wouldn't let him get near the opening of the driveway. Jed was angry and said to Bear, "Let me look, I won't go onto the road!" But Bear wouldn't let him near the road, he would block his was and if Jed tried to go around Bear he would just move also.
