I think back and I cringe at the memories,
Flushing red; blood red.
I wonder why I said it; why I did what I did.
Glowing redder; blood red.
I can’t smile or laugh; I just feel pain.
Deep red tears; blood red.
What happened? What went wrong?
Redder; darker; blood red.
I can’t handle it. I hate myself.
Red cuts; blood red.
I don’t want this anymore. I don’t want me!
More cuts. Deeper; blood red.
Why am I even here? I hate life!
Another cut; blood red.
More blood. More pain to hide- I don’t want it.
A deeper cut; much deeper. Blood red.
A tide of blood. Redder.
Losing all colour. Red staining the floor.

A body; motionless. Two colours.
Pale; emptiness. And red.
