Title: Hear My Cry
I look in the mirror
And see death at its finest
I look out the window
And see Phoenixes burn
I listen to the silence
And hear screams of torture
I stand in the eye of the storm
With an iron stake through my heart
And whisper to the lightning 'strike me down'
The air I breathe suffocates me,
Filling my lungs with toxic sweetness
I smile as the darkness blocks out the sun
And swallows me in a black veil
I lie on the ground,
Writhing in agony
At the sound of children's laughter
Like a knife twisting in my side
I see the sword lying three feet away
And reach for it
I grasp it in my hands
And plunge it through my heart
.................May the pain fade to black.
