My best friend is nicole skye mullen she is my best friend because she is so sweet and I love her with all my heart. She has done nothing but be there for me. Every time something is really boring she figures out some way to make it the most interesting and fun-filled day. I will never forget the day she told me the horrible news, 'she was moving.' We hung out on a regularly daily bases for 1 or 2 hours considering we were bike riding distances apart, went to the same school, and were in the same class , but when i found out that she was moving I spent every minute i could with her. I knew then and there that it would never be the same without her in desoto which is a suburb of dallas, Texas. I mean to think about the person who had all my 1sts-prank calling people and laughing so hard that we peed our pants,fainting off my bed,staying up all night,playing ghost story tapes in her little sisters room during her naptime, and last but not least attacking her dog because we thought it was a robber. I mean there was no way i wanted to loose her, but i knew that soon she would be gone. the minute before she left I told her, 'remember to keep in touch,' and she said, 'okay.' That night i stayed up thinking about her and if i was ever going to talk to her again because only she could call me or even write me. I had no idea of where she was going. I couldn't sleep and i was restless so I got up and got me some hot cocoa and sat by the phone like i had done for the last 5 hours. The phone rang around 10:30. She called to let me know that she was okay and gave me her new phone number and address and then she told be about the cute guy next door and not to be worried. That night I went to bed with a warm good feeling inside of my stomach, realizing maybe we would make it through all this.
Until now I haven't realized that nicole and i are still best friends. It's just not the exact same way it was before she moved. Like sticking up for each other and walking down the hallway talking about the hottest guy we know, even though he doesn't know we even exist. I miss her with everything inside of me, but we have managed to keep in touch and stay best friends for life. I will never forget how heartbroken i was to hear that she was moving and i could no longer ride my bike to 924 whitewater because my best friend wouldn't be there anymore. I love you Nicole and I will always be there for you so remember to keep in touch always :)
