Why?
Gazing at the stars
Into the silent nights
Understanding the world
And it’s amazing sights
Then you start to think
Why do people fight?
When no one is wrong
But everyone is right
Then you start to wonder
Why do people shout
When no one is certain
Of what it’s all about
Another thought pops in your head
Why do people pollute?
And once again you think
Why do soldiers solute
Why is the grass green?
Why is the sky blue?
Why do parents mostly say
That is it, we are through
It makes you sad to wonder
When you know your answers right
As you gaze back to the stars
Into the silent night.
