Title: The Invisibility Cloak Becomes Invisible. Part VII
“Hello Harry Potter”, Nick replied.
“So, how do you like staying here?” asked Harry.
“Oh, I don’t like it at all. I want to go back to my room in the dark dungeon, that’s where I belong. There’s too much commotion over here”.
“Why don’t you forget about the protest and roam in the dungeon in the morning and get back here at night?” suggested Harry.
“Oh, the protest about not leaving the boys’ dorm”, said Nearly Headless Nick, “that’s just an excuse. I’d love to roam around school. It’s just that I keep forgetting the password to enter Gryffindor common room. That day I went to see how the work in my room was progressing and I had to keep repeating the password to myself aloud. I had to keep saying ‘The password is Jelly Beans, the password is Jelly beans’ so that I don’t forget what it is. And you know, those Slytherins, they all made fun of me. They laughed at me on my face. Especially that Draco Malfoy, he said I was a numbskull”. Harry tried to calm Nick down but with no success. So he decided to ask another question”
“And do like the Gryffindors?”
“Oh, the Gryffindor kids are good. They are nice and kind. But it’s quite irritating when they play the Who Am I game. I can’t even understand who is who because the tie a cloth around their face and every time I can’t tell which boy is which they laugh. But at least they are not as mean as the Slytherins”. The conversation went on for quite some time. Finally Nick said that Harry should go to sleep as he had school the next day and flew of to the other side of the dorm. Harry couldn’t help thinking about how mean Draco is and finally fell asleep.
Next morning, after breakfast Harry, Ron and Hermione were sitting in the Gryffindor common room.
“You know, it’s hard to believe that Fred, George, Neville or Lee would have stolen the cloak”, said Harry.
“Yeah, I know, they are not at all the types who steal. I mean, they are more likely to ask and borrow the cloak from you.”, said Hermione.
“I agree, mates”, said Ron, “I wish I could blame a Slytherin for stealing Harry’s cloak”
“Speaking of Slytherins”, Harry said, “Last night I had a little chat with Nearly Headless Nick”- and Harry told the two about how the Slytherins had made fun of Nick.
“That’s it!” exclaimed Hermione after hearing the story, “I know who the thief is!”
“Well, who is it?”, asked Ron
“Can’t you guess?” asked Hermione
“Nope”, said Harry, “Who?”
