Title: The Invisibility Cloak Becomes Invisible. Part IX
“It’s Draco Malfoy”, announced Hermione.
“Malfoy?”
“Yes, don’t you get it?” said Hermione, “When you and Ron collided in the staircase with Parvati and Padmini, your cloak was almost going to come off. Ron said that you’ll succeeded in keeping it on. I think not. I think that a part of the cloak slipped off and Malfoy saw Harry’s scar or your red hair or some other significant mark. That’s probably why he made a face as if he had lost his mind. He must have gotten a shock to know that Harry or you, Ron own the cloak”.
“Okay, so he came to know that Harry owns an Invisibility Cloak, but how did he steal it?”
“Oh, I get it”, said Harry, “When Nearly Headless Nick was repeating the password to himself, Draco must have over heard and then used the password and entered Gryffindor common room, then entered the boys dorm and grabbed my cloak. But the thing I don’t understand is, why Nearly Headless Nick didn’t not tell anyone that some one from Slytherin had illegally entered Gryffindor tower.”
“That’s easy to figure as well”, said Hermione, “The Who Am I game is quite popular in Hogwarts. It’s not like only Gryffindors play it. So, Draco knows the game and to fool the Gryffindors and Nick he tied a cloth around his face. He probably jinxed the cloth so that he could see properly from under it but people couldn’t understand who HE was and that’s how Nick didn’t understand who Malfoy was. Then, Malfoy probably checked all the trunks and found the cloak in your trunk. He DOES know how the Invisibility Cloak looks because he comes from a wizarding family. I’m sure Malfoy stole it, we all know he has a certain liking for Magical object.”
“You’re absolutely right, Hermione”, said Ron, “Good thing you are our friend”
“Yeah, you are a genius”, said Harry, “Now how do we get back the cloak? It’s not like I’m going to enter Slytherin boys’ dorm or anything, nor am I going to tell a teacher.”
“I’ve got the perfect plan”, assured Hermione. They talked about the plan, repaired the flaws and made it fool proof. Then the three of them ran to transfiguration with the Slytherins.
