As Kaiba’s two creatures were indulged in the attack, time seemed to slow down for him. After the blast cleared both of Kaiba’s monsters and Kaiba’s life points were destroyed. His breathe was coming in short and sudden gasps, like a baby who just stopped crying. How could I lose? Kaiba though, my god card should have made me invincible.
“Big Brother!” Mokuba, Kaiba’s brother, cried. Kaiba walked toward Yugi. The walk of shame seemed to talk forever; each step seemed to get him nowhere. Bowing down his head, Kaiba held out his two ante cards, his Blue Eyes and Obelisk the Tormentor.
“Whose the loser now Kaiba boy?” Joey snickered.
After Yami claim both his cards and inserted them into his deck, the next round was about to begin. The gang meant in Joey’s room, and Joey yacked about how Kaiba got his butt kicked. Then, the speakers came on and told Joey and Marik to prepare for their upcoming duels. After everyone but Yami and Joey left, they were left alone.
“’Dank you, Yugi. I learned a lot from duelist kingdom. At first, I just thought it was just a game, but now I know what a True Duelist is. My dream was to become one, ever since you mopped the floor with Kaiba. I guess, all I’m trying to say is ‘dank you, Yugi, the best friend I ever had.” Joey said.
“You welcome, Joey. You are my friend, and I would stand by you no matter what! So let’s go!” Yami proclaimed.
In the Stratus Dueling Arena, Yami Marik and Joey faced off.
“Watch Marik, cause your going down” Joey cried.
“Heh heh heh… I still remember when I mind controlled you to destroy Yami, you mind was so pitiful back then. I hope your mind has grown, so it can stand a Shadow Duel!” Yami Marik said, as he swiped the air with his Millennium Rod.
At first, it did nothing. Then, like a fire slowly spreading, the purple and black fog of the Shadow Realm enveloped the two contestants.
“Duel!” they both cried.
