Title: Duke gets through Mt. Moon from the beggining!

I woke up realising that today I would get a Pokemon to start my journey with. Suddenly, from the kitchen, I heard mum yelling “ Duke get up, your sister has already left to get her Pokemon”. Oh no! It was a good thing I got dressed the night before. I raced down stairs, grabbed my bag, also packed the night before, and ran to Gary Oak’s Lab. When I got there Will (my arch enemy ), Jessie, John ( kids from the neighbour hood ) and Leori ( my sister ) were already there with their Pokemon. Jessie had a Bulbasaur, John had a Squirtle, Will had a Pikachu and Leori had an Eevee. “ Ah, you must be Duke Deblem. I have a Charmander for you. Watch out, it’s a bit enraged, I don’t yet know why?,” Prof. Gary Oak said. Gary gave me a Pokeball which contained my Pokemon and a Pokedex with info on me and Pokemon programmed in it. “ I’ll take good care of it,” I said and left for my journey to become the world’s greatest Pokemon master! Just before I started to walk away I heard “ Yeah right. Like you can take care of a Pokemon, you can’t even take care of a house plant. Ha!” Will was behind me laughing with his Pikachu. “ Haha, very funny, I forgot how to laugh.” I answered, hearing his grunt of unworthiness. Jessie, John and Leori had already left by then. Will left and so then after a last minute visit home I left.
After a few hours, I got to Viridian City. By then, my Charmander was out and about, and at the same time, not listening to me. “ Oh, come on Charmander. You can’t just not listen to me at one time and then pretend you’re not listening to me after when you really are.” That sentence made absolutely no sense to me nor Charmander but he knew what I was saying. I think. I started singing “ It’s like you’re always stuck in second year. And when it hasn’t been your day or week or month or even your year but … OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What was that for?” Charmander didn’t like my singing so he used his flamethrower on me. “ Ouch.” Next thing I knew, we were out the front of a Pokemon Center. “ Finally!” I raced up with Charmander following at went inside. “ Look who’s a late comer everyone. It’s Deblem and his silly little Pokemon. And it hasn’t even evolved yet. If it’ll ever evolve. Ha!” Will said as soon as I walked in. Everyone started laughing. “ At least I didn’t force my Pokemon to evolve.” I yelled back at Will. “OOOO!” Everyone said. “Humph.” Was his answer. I walked up to Nurse Joy and gave her my Pokemon after returning Charmander. Once I got my Pokemon back I stopped at the Pokemart then set off again. Dodging every trainer wasn’t hard, because they weren’t looking, in the Viridian Forest.
Once I got out I was in Pewter City. My Pokemon weren’t hurt so I skipped Pewter. When I got into the outskirts of town, I heard someone say “ Hey you’re a trainer right? Brock’s looking for new challengers. Follow me.” I followed a young boy about 7 or so to a huge building. He said “ If you have the right stuff, go take on Brock.” He left. I went inside the building, wondering who this Brock was. “ You’re here to challenge the Gym leader?” I heard a trembling voice say. “ Erm. . .yes I guess I am.” “ Then follow me.” He said and started walking to the other end of the, well of what it looked like, gym. The only thing that didn’t make it look like a gym was the rocks. Everywhere you looked there were rocks. Up, down, left, right, in front of you and behind you. Rocks! “ Here we are and there is Brock.” Straight ahead was a man with black spiky hair. “ You came here to challenge me?” “ Yeah. . .I guess so. Are you the ‘Brock’ I’ve recently heard so much about?” “ If I say yes you must battle me.” *Was that a challenge? I wouldn’t know. Mental note: Never try this crazy tactic again.* “ O.K. I accept your challenge.” “ Then we shall begin. Go Geodude!” “ Geodude!” A rock with arms was in front of me. “ O.K. then Go Squirtle!” “ Squirtle!!!!!!!!” I had caught Squirtle on my way to Pewter City. “ A water type is stronger against a rock type. Water gun!” Next thing I knew Geodude had fainted. “ Return Geodude. Go Onix!” Now this one looked like a bunch of rocks on top of each other. “ Onix, use Bide.” “ Alright Squirtle, use withdraw then hydro pump.” Squirtle got inside his shell and spat water out of his head, arm, leg and tail holes. “ Oo oooooonnnnnnnniiiiiiiiiiiiixxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx!” The poor thing yelled in pain and collapsed. I had won. “ I won. I WON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” “ Here is your boulder badge. It classifies that you can use the attack FLASH now. Since you won be gone young man. I wish to never see you again.” “ Duke Deblem’s the name.” And with that I went to the Pokemon Center and left Pewter City for good.
After that, I found Mt. Moon and went inside. It was dark, so I brought out Charmander to give light with his tail. I had dodged ever trainer so far except when I became close to getting out. A girl, my age, by the name of Serenity, challenged me. She said “ If you lose, you get transported back to your home town with my Abra. If I lose vice versa. Agreed?” “ Agreed.” I answered in a terrified voice. “ Go Clefairy!” “ Go Charmander!” “ Clefairy, use Pound!” “ Charmander Flamethrower!” Burnt to smithereens the Clefairy was. “ Oh, and I was so close to making it out of here.” Charmander started to glow and change. Next I knew he was a Charmeleon. “ Charrrrrrrrr!” *Perfect! He evolved! Great!* Was all I kept thinking. “ Oh great, now I’m stuck here forever.” Serenity said. “ Why?” I asked in surprisment that she hadn’t already been transported home. “ This IS my home that’s why.” “ You could come with me to Cerulean City if you want.” “ Really? Thanks!” And with that we got out of Mt. Moon and into Cerulean City.
