Title: Ryan's Rematch (Motan Region)
Silver, Joey, Mickel, Marina, Megumi, Ryan, and Yasmin made it to the Dicota City gym, but found Kirk getting ready for his battle with the gym leader. Joey blurted, 'We didn't expect to see you here.' Kirk smirked, 'I could say the same for you. Now stand back and watch the master.' Marina said under her breath, 'The master of what? Showing off?' Kirk walked forward and the gym leader appeared. He announced, 'I'm Carlton, the Dicota City gym leader. Do you wish to battle?' Kirk answered, 'You bet I do and I wish to win, which I will!' Marina sighed and said, 'I was right.' The battle started, and Carlton yelled, 'Electrike let's go!' Kirk shouted, 'Go Exploud!' If it was a battle of size, Exploud would've won by now, but small pokemon have a lot of speed which Electrike clearly demonstrated. It was running circles around Exploud! Carlton exclaimed, 'Good job Electrike! Keep it up!' Kirk on the other hand, was getting impatient. He burst out, 'Exploud end this child's play! Hyper Voice!' Exploud expanded it's mouth and released the first sound wave, stopping Electrike in it's tracks while the second wave blew it away. To some that was a surprise. Joey said, 'Kirk might love showing off, but he's still one of the strongest trainers out of many I know.' The second round began. Carlton sent out Electabuzz and Kirk sent out Sharpedo. Carlton commanded, 'Electabuzz Thunderpunch!' Electabuzz cried out and charged up it's fist. Kirk yelled, 'Sharpedo use Waterfall!' Sharpedo soaked itself and shot up to Electabuzz. Thunderpunch shocked Sharpedo and Waterfall struck. 'Electabuzz Quick Attack!' 'Sharpedo Slash!' Electabuzz and Sharpedo ran towards each other and got caught in a Quick Attack-Slash collision. Both pokemon bounced back to their trainers. A few seconds passed and Electabuzz fell to the floor, defeated. Kirk had one two matches and only needed to win one more to get his second badge. He exclaimed, 'Go Linoone!' Carlton uttered, 'Raichu go!' Raichu and Linoone were on the field facing each other in a second. 'Linoone Ice Beam!', Kirk shouted. 'Raichu Thunderbolt!', Carlton yelled. Both attacks were fired at each other and collided creating a thick cloud of smoke. But the pokemon could see right through it. 'Linoone use Headbutt now!', Kirk called out. 'Raichu Body Slam!', Carlton cried. The two pokemon disappeared in an instant, into the smoke. Raichu attacked with Body Slam, but Linoone was able to dodge and fight back with Headbutt slamming Raichu right in the chest and out of the smoke. It ended up lying on the floor, motionless. Kirk just won the battle, and he kind of looked happy for a change. Carlton gave him the Spark Badge. When Kirk walked passed the group he said to Ryan meanly, but nicely, 'We have a battle to finish.' Ryan eagerly returned, 'Whenever your ready,' Kirk stopped and said in a happier tone, 'All right then. We'll battle after you beat the gym leader, Carlton.' After hearing this, Ryan immediately challenged Carlton and beat him as fast as he could. The others hurried too and everyone got their Spark Badge. Marina almost lost, but thanks to her Corsola she was able to win. After healing their pokemon at the pokemon center, Ryan met Kirk on the battlefield. Kirk said in a loud voice, 'We're gonna have a six-on-six battle. You ready to lose, weakling?' Ryan scowled and snapped, 'Your the one who's gonna lose you show-off!' Silver said, 'Oh boy. Now Ryan's starting to talk like Joey.' Joey yelled to Ryan, 'Forget what Silver said, Ryan! You can beat Kirk. Just focus!' Ryan took in what Joey said, and the rematch began. Kirk called out, 'Pelipper go!' The pelican apeared and Ryan yelled, 'Go Haunter!' Megumi muttered, 'Pelipper eh? That was his flying pokemon? I think Kirk should've been more grateful we grabbed him.' Ryan shouted, 'Haunter Hypnosis!' Haunter tried to hypnotize Pelipper and it was working! Ryan shouted, 'Good Haunter! Now Shadow Ball!' Haunter formed a dark ball with it's hands and threw it at Pelipper. Kirk exclaimed, 'Pelipper watch out! Counter it with Surf!' Pelipper snapped out of the Hypnosis and shot a tidal wave at Haunter. It dematerialized the Shadow Ball and was headed straight for the ghost. Ryan cried out 'Haunter!'
