Title: Chapter 1: And so it begins...
It was a sunny morning as I awoke from a deep slumber. I was very tired and didn't want to get up. I had a hard time forcing myself out of my bed. I then headed towards the shower to not only get refreshed, but to wake up a little. I then went to bedroom to get dressed. After dressing i went down the stairs to the kitchen. On the way down I realized what day it was and got excited. It felt as if a boombox was implanted to the back of my skull and replayed one sentence over and over again. That one sentence was ' soon I will get my very first pokemon!' I quickly ate my cinnamon rolls and headed outside with a pokeball. I hurried to my friends house to borrow a pokemon so I could catch one of my own. Kevin lended me his spinarak and I headed towards the forest. After about an hour of dissapointment, I started walking home. Just before I left the entrance, the pokemon I wanted and searched for appeared. It was as if it smacked me in the face. I had found the perfect starting pokemon! Eevee! I quickly released spinarak. I used poison sting to weaken the wild eevee. it barely did anything. the eevee then used fury swipes and damaged Kevin's pokemon. I then told spinarak to use stringshot. It trapped eevee in a web of goo. I then commanded spinarak to poison sting it once more. After the sting i siezed the oppurtunity and threw my one and only pokeball. It wobbled around and stopped after one final vicious tug. I had caught my very first pokemon! I was very excited. I couldn't wait to tell Kevin. I rushed out of the forest and approached Kevins house. He burst out of the door asking for details on the pokemon battle I just had. I explained it all and showed him my new pokemon. He was truly impressed. We went down to the Pokemart to purchase some goods for our pokemon. Unfortunately we ran into Josh, a bully at my school. He threatened me to a battle and I accepted his invitation to a battle. He sent out a pidgey and i sent out my eevee. I shouted, 'Tackle!' and eevee threw itself into pidgey. Josh then said, 'Pidgey, use scratch!' I then realized that it barely did anything and had eevee tackle it once more. Josh had pidgey use gust and almost blew my pokemon away! I got a little worried. I then commanded eevee to use sand-attack. Pidgey was soon surrounded in a storm of sand. I quickly had eevee use fury swipes, causing my opponent's pokemon to faint. I had won the battle! Josh then started to cry. He might have hated me but loved his pidgey and ran to the pokecenter, holding his bird pokemon in his arms. Kevin and I had almost felt sorry for the kid. We then went to the local icecream parlor for a well deserved rootbeer float. As we ate, a shadowy firgure entered the store, holding something. I couldn't identify it. He gave the chills...
