Title: The Feeling
It was a warm sunny day. Sunlight filtered through the shades on the window. My mother lay on the hard bed in the hospital. I gazed at her exhausted face. She looked up at me. I tried to smile at her but all I could manage was a scared and confused expression. I then looked at the tiny baby lying beside her.The small newborn's eyes were closed. She whimpered softly.Then I felt a wonderful feeling come over me. It was a mixture of joy and delight and a little bit of excitement. To those who have not experienced it, I can not describe this feeling. I slowly absorbed the fact that the baby was my sister and then relief washed over me. The beautiful feeling I felt lasted only for a few brief moments, but I will remember it always. It was the best feeling I have ever felt and will always be.
