Title: THAT NIGHT
Harry looked around him. It was a dark, rainy night. Rain poured down from the sky. Harry was soon drenched. 'Where am I?' he asked aloud, bewildered. He rushed for shelter from the rain. All he could see was a house. Harry opened the gate. He saw the nameplate- GODRICS HOLLOW in large bold letters. A feeling of excitement and fear came over Harry. Curiosity got the better of him and he went inside the house. To his surprise he saw his parents conversing in low voices. Lily was clutching a tiny baby in her hands. Harry realized it was himself when he was a baby. James was comforting Lily. 'Don't worry. Nothing will happen to any of us.' he whispered reassuringly. Harry reached out and touched his mother. He could not feel anything. She was fondling the baby in her arms and looked undisturbed. Harry felt frustuated. He wished he could do something, anything to warn his parents of the danger arriving. Suddenly the front door slammed open. A towering hooded creature approached. Terrified,Lily and James stood rooted to the ground. James shouted 'Lily, run! Fast!' . But she stood paralysed.Harry winced as the creature came nearer. His scar burned. Then he heard shouts of help and cruel laughs. A flash of green light and James was killed. His mother pleaded with Voldemort to let her son survive. Another light shot out from Voldemort's wand. His mother's lifeless body lay on the ground. Next Voldemort shouted 'Avarda Kedavra'. The baby screamed. Suddenly Voldemort was reduced to smoke. He wailed in astonishment as he was carried away by the wind. Harry shouted with frustuation. He opened his eyes and found himself in bed. 'It was only a dream' he realized.
