Darkness Surround While Hobbits Travel Again #51

“DADDY!!!!!”
Anna screamed for help as a hairy pair of legs swished right at her foot and clamped their jaws around both her wrists. Legolas grabbed Anna's leg and Anna sobbed in fright. Another spider hissed and attacked Legolas, who slashed back. Anna's leg slipped through Legolas's hand. Anna screamed in pain, her voice echoing the area. It slowly died away as Legolas desperatly fought the spider. 'LEGOLAS! I'll deal with this one! You find your daughter!' Aragorn shouted and Legolas ran, where darkness swept the spider that dragged Anna. 'Russe tuulo' (Light!)' he shouted and with desperation, he crossed towards where Anna lay. Anna lay on the ground, a paralysed expression on her face. She cried in pain as the Spider wrapped cords around her roughly. A wound dug in Anna's stomache and slowly Anna became unconxious, her eyes closing and her head slumping on the ground. The spider’s eyes were fixed directly at Anna and it did not recognize that Legolas was there. Legolas angrily slashed the spider. It’s sensed the attack and moved out of the way. It hissed and clamped its pincers back and forth. “No one hurts my daughter!” Legolas shouted and slashed his sword again at the spider. The third spider was in hiding, and it was dragging Anna’s unconxious body away from the battle. Zigendri grabbed a sword and struck it at the beast’s legs. It struck perfectly and it hissed and screeched. It snapped it’s pincers at Zigendri and he dodged it, slashing back. The spider left Anna and with a jump, the pincers grabbed Zigendri’s sword. Zigendri forced the sword in his hand to push its way in the spider’s flesh and it worked. It lay dead on the ground when Zigendri had finally pulled the bloody sword. He was in shock, for he had never killed anything before. Legolas and Aragorn had finally killed both their beasts. Legolas hissed a curse at the dead spider and ran at Anna’s side. She was cold, frozen and paralysed. Her body had cords of the sticky web half way up her body and sticked tightly. Legolas ripped the cords furiously off Anna as he touched Anna’s cheek. Zigendri looked a little flushed. Aragorn checked Anna’s pulse and Aragorn nodded. “Thank you, thank you…” whispered Legolas and hugged Anna. Aragorn eyed Zigendri suspiciously but not too much. “Thank you for saving Legolas’s daughter. But you will still have to be with us,” Aragorn spoke and this time more softly.
