'Let's start this off, shall we? Draining Rain!' Ranamon shouted. She summoned up a rain cloud that shot a bunch of rainwater onto Sockiomon causing him to yell in pain. He managed to suck up the pain then fly out so he could fight Ranamon. 'Excalibur's Claws!' Sockiomon shouted. He held out both of his claws in a praying mantis-like pose then used them to hit Ranamon off the branch she was standing on. 'You can't treat a lady like that, sugar!' Ranamon said angrily. 'It's too late! I already did,' Sockiomon joked. 'How about a nice cold shower to cool you off? Whipping Waves!' Ranamon shouted. She summoned up a bunch of water twisters that started to come towards Sockiomon so he flew away but the twisters were still closing in on him. Sockiomon flew back to slice through the water twisters but that only caused him to get caught in one then get thrown onto the ground. 'That's not bad, sugar. Now, see if you can fight me in my new form now,' Ranamon said as code rings surrounded her body. 'What's happening?' Sockiomon asked. 'She's slide evolving,' JP answered. 'Ranamon! Slide Evolution! Calmaramon!' Ranamon shouted. In the place of Ranamon was a Digimon that looked like an ugly lady standing on top of an upside-down squid, two large tentacles on both sides, and sickly blue skin. 'Eugh! Who is that ugly lady!?!?' Sockiomon asked. 'Not Calmaramon again!' JP whined. 'Calmaramon?' Sockiomon asked. 'The evil Beast Warrior of Water,' Bokomon said. Sockiomon looked back at Calmaramon to see that her face showed both insulting and anger. 'HOW DARE YOU CALL ME UGLY AGAIN!?!?!?!?' Calmaramon yelled in anger. 'She's definitely got a temper problem,' Hobbes said. 'Hey, Squid Queen! I've got a present for you! Victorian Slash!' Sockiomon shouted. He flew in with his right claws exposed and slashed Calmaramon really hard across the chest causing her to scream in pain. 'You'll pay for that, sugar! Acid Ink!' Calmaramon shouted. She spat out a glob of black liquid that hit Sockiomon in the face causing him to yell in pain as he felt the liquid start to sting his body. 'THIS STUFF'S BURNING ME! OUCH!' Sockiomon screamed. Ari watched in horror as he saw his friend getting beaten up really badly by Calmaramon. What he saw was a horrified sight. Calmaramon had restrained Sockiomon using her tentacles. 'Now have you learned your lesson, sugar?' Calmaramon asked. Sockiomon bit Calmaramon's left tentacle causing her to let go of him. He was about to hit her again with another Excalibur's Claws attack but Calmaramon hit Sockiomon really hard with one of her tentacles causing him to scream in great pain as he reverted back into Sock who was looking very hurt. He had bruises on his back and arms, there were scratches on his legs, and there were cuts on his face and chest. 'Bye bye for good, sugar!' Calmaramon shouted as she leapt into the air. 'Titanic Tempest!' Calmaramon shouted. She started spinning but then, she started spinning out of control. 'NOT AGAIN!!!!!' Calmaramon screamed as she flew out of sight. 'What happened to her?' Satchel asked. 'I'm afraid that Calmaramon hasn't gotten complete control over her Beast Spirit just yet,' Bokomon said. 'Sock! Are you okay?' Ari asked. 'I'm fine, Ari. Other than I hurt all over, I'm still alive,' Sock answered. He tried to walk but his body ached so much that he fell over. 'JP, why don't you carry him until we find a place to set up camp?' Koji asked. 'Alright, if you insist,' JP said. He picked up Sock and slung him over his right shoulder. 'We really should keep going, guys. We've got a long way to go until we find Doomsmon,' Takuya said. The others agreed so they went off through the forest to find and beat Doomsmon.
