Dear Diary,
It’s hard being in a family of 5 and that’s not including Mother and Father.
Today Elenore, Nadia, Mother and I did the housework while Father went to work and Henry and Lucas went to the old farm across the road to help Laura, the old woman who lives there. Father hasn’t been doing that well lately. He has been looking really pale. Mother says I shouldn’t fuss over it, she said that it’s probably just a cold. But I think it might be something worse because Father couldn’t go to work this week so we didn’t have much for our meals. Father says that he’s okay that he its just a little flu. Well maybe they are right anyway I’ll write again soon.
Dear Diary,
Father is way worse this week. He says that he is cold all the time. We took him to the doctor’s and the doctor said that he has Ammonia. The doctor said if Father has plenty of bed rest and good meals he will get better. But we did all the doctor said but father just keeps on getting worse. I’m worried. The doctor said that many people have died from Ammonia. What if it happens to Father?
Dear Diary,
Here lies Jonathan Liam Wyattor is what was written on the gravestone of my father I watched the engraver write it. I watched my mother weep in grief. I watched my two younger sisters crying. I watched my two younger brothers cry also. And I was left to not cry that was my job now that father was gone. It was time to brave and help my family through this. He is gone there is nothing we can do, I would keep on saying to them.
Dear Diary,
I’ve been helping mother she is motionless she is in shock. Mother is usually the one moving around in a hurry but now she’s so quiet her happy smile is now a forced smile that you can tell isn’t real. What happened to that happy face I would see everyday? It’s gone now. I never really thought about death until now. Where is Father now? Is he in Heaven? Or does Heaven not exist? Has he come back as an animal or something? All I know is death has ruined my life and I’m not the one who is dead. I think that death affects the people that are alive more then it affects the actual dead person.
