After the much-needed assistance from Annabelle, we had finally reached our destination, the Rock Tunnel.
However, when we got there, there was a little trouble.
Several construction workers were pounding at a few rocks. 'What are you doing?' I asked.
A scraggly, yet buff man came up, and placed on his helmet. 'The Rock Tunnel is dangerous, for there is a long tunnel which slides. It's dangerous to crawl into the hole, for you can slide down. On the other side there is a bunch of jagged rocks, which mean trouble for young ones snooping around.'
'We're not that young,' I said.
'Well, I suppose you could get through... if you had a couple of Pokemon,' he said.
Dalton laughed, 'That takes care of it. Go, Mantine!'
Our ride through the sliding tunnel was lots of fun. Mantine's big and flat back provided a great blanket for when we reached the jagged rocks.
'You'll have cuts on your belly when we're done,' Dalton said to Mantine. 'I'll fix you up at a Pokemon Center, k?' Mantine smiled. 'Maaaan!' it squealed.
We slid, and Mantine's back was slippery.
'AAAH!' Aloha held on for dear life.
'It's okay. If you slide off, you won't be able to climb back because it's so steep. You'll bounce back onto Mantine!'
'Err,' Serena said, 'But how about if we're in the front.'
Serena was hanging on to Mantine's antenna at the front, looking a little nervous.
'Jeez,' I said. 'I can almost stand up without holding on! Take it easy!'
Serena sighed and let go. That very minute, Mantine flew out into the open and crashed into the rocks, flinging us into some dirt.
'Whooo!' Dalton laughed.
Mantine had some scratches on its pale white body. 'I can fix that up,' Dalton said in satisfaction with the cool ride.
'Yeah, yeah! So, are we going to the power plant, or what?' I asked.
'Alright, we're going!' Aloha smiled.
'Yeah! Mantine, return!' Dalton returned Mantine to its ball.
Raichu jumped onto my shoulder. 'Rai, Rai!'
We exited the Rock Tunnel. We were one step closer to restoring Kanto!
