Title: Betrayal of Kor
I was there. I know who did it. I know. You don't. You will.........eventually.
Kor was my race's home. The last Elder Island in the entire ocean. Atlantis was submerged. Others were taken, mutilated, and renamed.
The Elder Islands used to be refuge for us. We were what you'd call mutants. We're tall, females often with blue hair, with certain abilities. Abilities made us valuable.
Our cave, Kor, was a subterranean city. Above ground was water and a normal looking island. Under was a different story.
Kor was almost perfectly safe, except for one unfinished wall. The males would work there for one hour everyday. Then they'd go to their respective businesses and work there.
The females worked also, but most were busy contributing to the training of the Yjs, our young we had currently. I was simply one of those who worked alongside males and fought my way to the third rung of the female-ruling chain.
As the rulers were elected there, I had very little chance of making it up there. I made it to Commanderess of the Rnsru, a fighting group to defend our island, when the betrayal happened.
As someone who was very interested in other races, particularly our younger siblings in the Man area, I was considered a freak. I had dyed my blue hair red, turning it a beautiful auburn color and started dressing like those I was distantly related to.
Unfortunately, that led me as one of the prime suspects of my own army. Note I did not say I DIDN'T betray my own race. They were very unkind to me and I might well have good reason to.
Someone snuck up to the beach one night while I was on patrol and waved a signal lantern to a boat waiting closer to another large land mass I had often looked over and dreamed of visiting.
The boat came closer and pretty soon, we were being taken over. As I looked like one of them and not as one of my own race, I was kept unharmed while all those who were unkind were taken to the lab.
Only for my family did I beg mercy for. I told them they had taken me and kept me from those who wished me evil. The younger human division agreed to keep them safe with me.
Now I live on an island called Key West in Florida. You can decide for yourself.
Did I or did I not betray Kor, and do I or do I not live on my own island once more?
