Through the Forest. Ep5
“So, what about coming to my house? It’s just beyond the forest.”
I shrugged and we set off walking into the forest. I quickly beamed Skull back before he remembered about trying to fight me.
The Electrike was NOT happy.
Kaylee handed me a flashlight and I shot the light all around us.
There was nothing there. We continued to walk.
Suddenly, we heard a rustling sound near my foot. The next second, a shy looking Zizagoon popped up. I held my breath and threw out Cubone.
“Bone club!” I shouted.
For the first time, Skull acted like a trained pokemon. He twirled the bone in his hand before releasing it and thumping it into the Zizagoon.
“That’s enough!” I cried, but he wouldn’t stop. He obviously loved to fight. I recalled him desperately and threw an unused pokeball at the wounded Zizagoon.
It was mine, now. I put the ball into my kitty bag and we walked on. There was no more problem after that.
Soon after, we saw a yellow cottage with a bright red door and a swing in the backyard. Kaylee’s home.
Kaylee opened the door and called, “Mum! I’m home!”
A small, plump woman with a red bandana on her head peered out from behind the corridor. “Oh, we have a visitor!”
Kaylee quickly said, “Mum, you have to get back to the babies, I’ll take my friend upstairs.”
As I walked up the wooden stairs, Kaylee told me where everyone slept.
The Upstairs were officially hers and her mum’s. No one except them was allowed upstairs. The two baby sisters slept together in a cot and the three boys slept on the couch.
Finally, we got to a room with a red sign which said, “Danger, Beware!”
She pushed back the door and revealed a nice Charmander print bed and a wardrobe. Beside that was a stuffy little desk and a chair but you had to go over the bed to reach it.
I took off my white sneakers that were now splattered with mud and so did Kaylee. She climbed onto her bed and reached towards her desk for a piece of paper and pen. Then, she reached for my Zizagoon pokeball and I let her. Quickly, she took out a dusty box from under the bed.
I had a feeling that no one else knew about it.
Kaylee dusted the box and then opened it carefully……
