Title: My Mom
10-4-04
My Mom
My mom’s nickname is Amy. Her hair is black. She has black shining eyes. Her smile is so beautiful. Her best wish is that all of her kids are healthy and happy.
My mom is very good at cooking. She likes to cook food in her own receipt. We don’t want to go restaurants because we love what my mom cooked. She is an organized person. She makes our rooms clean and cozy.
My mom has a Master degree in Computer Science. She believes that education can make us smarter. She likes to buy books for us - Reading Comprehension, Writing, Science, Math, and Stories etc. She often asks us challenging questions. She teaches us to learn how to learn.
“Why don’t you write your own stories?” asked my mom when I told her an exciting story I read from a book.
When I had got a correct answer, she wanted me to think about “How many possible answers does this question have?” “Which one is the best solution?”
She knew I might feel boring if I learn Chinese only. So she bought Olympic Math books written in Chinese to let me learn Math and Chinese at the same time.
My mom also supports us to develop our skills. I have been taking many classes - Chess, Dancing, Drawing, Swimming, Cheerleading, and Violin. I have two different Violin classes every week. My mom services me as a driver all time even in cold winter when we lived in Cleveland, OH. If she gets free time, she would like to play chess with me. My mom also taught me how to build my own website. It’s very fun to create my own website.
My dad is a doctor. He usually leaves home 7:00AM. and back home after 8:00PM. Sometime he needs to work at night. My young brother is only one and half months old. My mom can’t sleep well at night because she needs to feed him every three hours. My youngest sister is three years old. She needs mom’s a lot of attentions too. Although now my eldest sister is in China, my mom often writes E-mails to her. There are 6 people in my family. You can’t image how tired my mom is to take care of my big family. But she always tries to do her best to make us success and happy. I hope I could grow fast so I can give my mom more helps.
