Title: Yo! There’s a new Gym Leader in town! Ep44
She knew that it was too much to hope for. She’d lose one of her pokemon.
“Go Swablu,” said Faith in a choked voice.
Holly’s laugh was shrill but she did not finished Faith’s pokemon off…yet.
Faith opened her eyes and took a deep breath to steady herself.
“Sing?” she asked uncertainly.
Faith had never used this attack before. She did not know if it would work. It did. Flareon dropped down onto its knees. Its eye lids were drooping. The attack was too much. It fell asleep.
“Nooo!” screeched Holly. “You haven’t won yet! You have to make my pokemon faint!”
But, Holly did not know her pokemon like I did with mine. Her Flareon was already tired when Swablu came out. There could be hope that Faith might win. Faith seemed to have the same thoughts.
She cleared her throat and stood up. A new found power had swept over her.
“Fly!”
Before Swablu had even gathered up its wings, Holly crouched down beside Flareon and gave it an Awakening.
The crowd sucked in their breath as Swablu began flying down.
Flareon opened its tired eyes but before it could even get up, Swablu was already pounding down on its back.
Flareon had definitely fainted.
Holly stared in confusion at her fainted pokemon and recalled it quietly. She ran from the room and Faith cheered.
She was going to be a Gym Leader! We were all too proud of her.
Suddenly, Tony came over and gave her a special smile which Faith also returned.
Quickly, Charlie hopped off his seat by the bar and walked over to Faith who was now surrounded by a crowd of people who wanted her to be their new model.
“Hey Babe!” he called.
The room quietened down a bit. No one knew what Faith was about to say. She turned towards him, her eyes set and a frown already in place.
“Why don’t you come over to my place, girl?” asked Charlie.
Faith flicked her short black hair off her face. She was cool.
“You wish,”
