I just want to be near you
And forget the rest.
I just want to close my eyes,
And feel you beside me.
I just want to be in your arms,
And feel this closeness forever.
I just want to drown myself in your love,
And hear nothing but your sweet murmurs.
I just want to get lost in you,
And detach my soul from this world,
And move away from it,
Along with you by my side,
So that I could touch the sky.
I just want to be near you,
And forget the rest.
I just want to keep those words,
Which you told me,
And feel the pleasure of listening to them,
Which keep me away from this ruthless world,
The words which everyone use,
Most of the times,
Without even pondering over its depth,
‘I love you’.
I just want to get this feeling forever,
The feeling of love,
The feeling to love and being loved.
I just want you to take me away, by holding my hands,
And giving me the power to fly away with you,
Away from every miseries,
And living like a free bird.
I want you to confine me,
In the cage of your love,
And free me from the cage and clutches of this world,
Which gave me nothing,
But sorrows, except you.
I just want you to drive me crazy,
By showering all your love on me,
So that in a way,
I don’t blame people,
When they call me mad,
As it will be true.
I just want to be near you,
And forget the rest.
I just want you to burn me down in your love,
So that all my desires do not burn to ashes.
I just want to look into your eyes,
And drown myself in the love hidden deep beneath them.
I just want you to look at me like that forever,
With your eyes filled with nothing but love,
And my eyes filled with nothing but tears of joy.
But for now, I can just fantasise about you,
And see my dreams being fulfilled in my fantasies,
While in real life,
My deepest wishes get crushed,
Under your feet,
Without even you realising it,
Which clearly states,
That I’ll forever live enclosed in a dream,
And never experience the feeling,
That sweet feeling of your love,
In my life,
But always living with your poison,
Which you gave to me,
By not letting my wishes come true.
I now know that my dreams will never come true,
However desperately may I want,
To be near you,
And forget the rest….
