JP, Bokomon, Neemon, Patamon, Socramon, Manxmon, Lemurmon, Kunemon, and Apteryxmon walked (or flew, in Patamon and Apteryxmon's cases) for 4 hours but they still couldn't find the others anywhere. 'This is a very desolate part of the forest. We must be careful because I heard that terrible things will happen to other Digimon if they're not careful. It's like a torture chamber, only it's outside,' Socramon said. 'T-torture chamber?' JP whimpered. Suddenly, a bunch of bats flew out from nowhere causing the group to duck quickly as they yelled out in fear. 'What are bats doing in the Digital World?' JP asked. 'Those aren't just any bats, they're Digi-Bats. They're prone to fly out whenever they're startled or surprised,' Apteryxmon said. 'Smart aleck!' Socramon shouted. Suddenly, a giant bird-like creature appeared behind the group so they turned around and looked up at it as it looked down with a fierce look in its eyes. 'AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!' The boy and the 8 Rookie Digimon screamed when they saw this creature that they made a run for it. The bird creature didn't even fly after them so it flew away. The group ran as fast as they could until they made it out of the forest. When they saw that the bird creature wasn't following them, they all let out a sigh of relief. 'That was a close call,' Bokomon said. 'You're telling me. I was afraid that we were about to become bird chow,' Lemurmon said. 'I don't think that bird might've been interested in eating us anyway,' Kunemon said. 'Was that even a Digimon?' JP asked. 'It could've been. But my book doesn't have any info on it. Must be a Digimon that's created by Lunardramon,' Bokomon said. 'Now I remember. Lunardramon also has the power to create non-existent Digimon to do his bidding. And I'm guessing that bird creature must've been one of his creations,' Manxmon said. 'Sounds like in the story of Frankenstein,' JP said. 'Franken-who?' Neemon asked. 'Frankenstein. He's this scientist in a story that created a monster that ran away from him. The monster went on a rampage in every town and Frankenstein tried all he could to get him back,' JP answered. 'I feel sorry for Frankenstein,' Patamon said. 'And I feel sorry for that monster,' Socramon said. 'At least, we're safe for now,' JP said. Then, his stomach growled and he put his hand over it to sooth the feeling away. 'Awwwwww, I'm so hungry,' He moaned. The 8 Rookie Digimon had to agree with JP because they were also hungry. The last time they had eaten anything was when they stopped at Rainbow Village. 'Isn't there anything worth eating around here?' JP asked. 'I'm afraid not. We'll have to wait until we find someone to give us a good meal,' Bokomon said. The group looked around but they couldn't find anything in sight.
