Title: Helplessly yours...
Your presence brings a strange heat around me,
And all I need to know,
Is that you are here,
Even if I cannot see you.
And then I put such a veil of ignorance on my face,
As soon as I know you are here,
That it leaves my very soul wondering,
Why I try to ignore you so much,
Why the expression on my face does not agree,
To reflect the feelings of my heart.
And when you are no longer here,
I yearn to get a glimpse of you,
And regret for having been so cruel.
I become desperate,
Nothing seems good enough,
Nobody’s company is as soothing,
As is your mere presence….
And then I start living on your thoughts,
And get so engrossed in them,
That I’m forced to ask,
If it is were all a dream,
Or was it the reality,
As I could hardly make the difference,
And the truth is that,
I didn’t care even if it were a dream,
As it were too beautiful of a dream,
To be broken by the clutches of reality.
I was there,
You were there,
And there was love all around.
What could I ask more,
Than this moment to last
Forever and ever…..
U smiled at me,
And came so gently,
Like a gust of wind,
And went away as stealthily as you came,
That I did not even have time 2 realise,
That you have surrounded me with a mist of love,
Behind which I could see nothing else,
Without which my life would become meaningless,
As I exist only for you,
And belong only to you,
Even if I don’t think,
That I will let you know this so soon,
As there’s a deep fear in my heart,
The fear of losing you forever,
After having acquired you,
The fear of breaking our present relationship,
My present feelings,
My glass dream world,
With the pebbles thown at it,
By the ruthless grip of reality….
So I’ll long for you,
And pine for your attention,
Yet I’ll pray that,
God gives me the courage,
To resist the temptation of becoming one with you,
As I’m helpless,
Helpless by the circumstances,
Which I can never tell you,
As I’m not as heartless as that,
To make you get a glimpse of my world,
And the web of circumstances,
Acting as a barrier…
I just want you to know,
That I’ll be forever yours…..
