Title: My favourite thing
Liking things is supposed to be called being materialistic, but everyone as a soft corner or harmless little desire for one thing or the other. As for me, I have had loads of special things over the years. As a toddler my favourite toy was a tattered little teddy bear. I used to cling to it everywhere I went. It's name was Brownie and if it ever went missing I would bring the house down with my wails.
When I had reached a slightly more mature stage of life, I started becoming partial to a particular set of paints. There were 25 shades of various colours in that paintbox and everyone of the colours were well utilized. Long after every drop of paint was squeezed out of the beloved tubes I kept the box as a memento.
This was followed by a series of special things including a diary adorned with butterflies. Right now my favorite thing is a miniature pillow on which the names of all my favourite songs and bands are written on with marker pens. On the other side of the pillow I have written the names of all my best friends, which to say the least, is quite a few! the result is an eye-catching little cushion and I firmly believe that I will keep it with me for the rest of my days, at least until I have another favorite thing!
