Title: Felicity Learns a Lesson

Felicity Learns a Lesson is a book about a nine-year-old girl living in Colonial Virginia a little bit before the time of the Revolutionary War. Back then pre-teen girls were supposed to go off to a school where they learn how to be a gentlewoman and take care of a househould when they grow into young women and get married. While Felicity was going to this school, she practiced how to serve tea, fancy stitchery, classical writing, and dance. About two weeks after she started going to the classes angry colonists dumped tea into a harbor to show the King they were tired of paying the taxes on tea. Felicity's Father agreed with this and was not to drink tea in their household. Felicity's lessons involved tea lessons and she was confuseds whether or not to drink it. But she made the right choice in the end and didn't hurt anybody's feelings.
