Title: Safaia
Whenever people came over to Keoni's house, they always asked how Safaia was doing. Safaia was known for her pure saphire like eyes, and her glossy white coat. She had one gold ear, though she was a purebred Main Coon. She was a cat that radiated beauty, from head to tail. Keoni for one was annoyed by this. She wanted a cat, but not one that would steal all her attention. Keoni was a twenty year old women, non married and withought much of an egacation. She was lonely, and she thought a cat would help. But Safaia only made it worse. But, she had a lot of friends through the cat. So she kept her well groomed, fed, and beautiful. Safaia was just pretty. And she couldn't help that.
Keoni circled the tiny apartment. Safaia watched her from the large pet bed Keoni bought for her. There was no doubt Keoni was nervouse, but what for Safaia did not know.
'Mew mrew rew mew! You humans spend to much preciouse time!' Safaia said. Safaia was very intelagent. She learned a lot of her human's language. Keoni was a beautiful human, and Safaia was glad she chose Keoni as a pet. She had short red hair and wore black fraimed glasses (one thing humans lack in is eyesight). She always wore a necklace with a picture of a tiger on it, and she wore matching earings (that's what humans call them. They look like a cat toy, actually). Today she looked expecially pretty. She wore a red kimono that she just bought from a store (humans are embarrased by their nakedness. If they only had fur). She also wore matching ruby high heels that made her look taller.
'Safaia, you have to look REALLY pretty today,' Keoni said once she was done circling the room. She reached into a bag and took out a blue leather collar incrested with diamonds and saphires.
'Mew mew? For me?' Safaia meowed stepping up to Keoni with her neck held high so her pet human could put it on. Keoni strapped the collar on Safaia's neck, and unstrapped the old one. It was heavier than a usual collar, Safaia noticed.
'Mew meow row reow! This is incrested with real gems! Mew meow! How thoughtful!' Safaia cried rubbing her fur on Keoni's legs.
'You're welcome cat,' Keoni said patting Safaia's back.
That selfish cat! Keoni thought putting the old collar in a drawer. It seems she only thinks of herself.
'Mraw!' Safaia mewed. If only Keoni knew what her cat was saying. Then maybe they could be friends. But that was impossible. For Safaia, atleast, Keoni thought that. The bell to her apartment rang.
'Maikeru's here! Maikeru's here!' Keoni yelled. She ran to the door and opened it. A tall slender man was at the door. He had long black hair and blue eyes. He was a rich game designer, and Keoni's date. She always wanted to have mony to through around, but she spent it ALL on Safaia.
'Well are you ready Keoni?' Maikeru asked.
'I sure am,' Keoni said. Safaia walked up to Maikeru.
'Merow?' the cat exclaimed.
'You have a cat?' Maikeru asked. Keoni looked down to the floor.
'Yes,' she bitterly said.
'I hate cats,' Maikeru said.
'So do I. I had to get it, you see,' Keoni said. 'She was my Grandmother's cat. She's dead now,' Keoni had to lie.
'I see,' Maikeru said. 'Let's go.' Keoni walked out the door looking coldly at Safaia. The door shut and Keoni threw her head forward. The cat always had to spoil the fun.
'Mew? Keo, Keoni?' Safaia said. 'Me mew me? How could you?' Safaia went to her bed and curled up. She thought Keoni liked her. Keoni always did what was best for Safaia. And Safaia actualy LOVED Keoni. But now she thought differently. She still loved Keoni, but how could she betray her cat? Her only child? All these thoughts rushed through Safaia's head. Times like these she wished she hadn't spent so much time learning the human language. It was for the better, she thought, or the worst. Safaia sighed and slipped out of the heavy collar. She pawed it back and forth watching the gems glitter. She looked at her reflection in one of them. She was a beautiful cat, a muture cat, atleast she thought. But now Safaia only saw a cat. A three year old cat withought love. Man was she wrong about Keoni. Her lovely pet human, Keoni.
