Title: A ray of hope...
Part one
Your mesmerizing eyes
Those moments of pure bliss
Our togetherness despite the distance between us
Those lovely words exchanged
Those charming moments spent melting in each other’s embrace
I remember them all
But you seem to have forgotten them all
I gave you my heart o my love
But what did you do?
Returned it back to me after having broken it into pieces innumerable
How can I forget your charming smile
And your exquisite way of thinking?
Your naiveness and yet the profound depth of your words
Which used to drowm me in a dreamworld
You took me there
But seeing the door close
You left my hand
And ran away all alone
Never to come back again
And me like a mad woman
I lived there hoping that someone would bring the key of that door
Open it and deliver me
Part two
A ray of hope I perceive
Is this another mirage I ask myself
But the only answer I get
Is to ask my heart what it feels
And let my steps follow where my heart leads
But have these steps not betrayed me already?
Is this again my destiny?
My heart says you could be the one
And yet mystery is all around
I know not if I can give this heart a second time
I know not if I could take it again
If it were yet another of destiny’s vicious web
But I also know that
One who risks nothing gets nothing
But o destiny
What else do I have to offer
Except broken pieces of this heart
Which used to be so full of love
And now there’s only resentment and bitterness
Once unimaginable to me
So naïve was i
My heart so pure
Unaware of this vicious world
And now that my eyes have opened
Can I still hope against all hopes
And trust this new ray of hope?
Part three
I know not what love is
Neither do I know if you are the one
All I know is that you gave me a reason to smile
U taught my heart the melodies of laughter
You made me taste the essence of well being
And you brightened my life with a touch of positiveness
And brought a new ray of hope
You made my heart sway
And you swept me off my feet
You made me dream
But also taught me how to face reality
So that I would not fall to the ground
As you didn’t want me to get hurt
You cared for me when the whole world around me seemed to collapse
And you were there for me when I most needed someone
But couldn’t reach for anyone
You helped me overcome my grief
And gave a new direction to my life
To you I’ll always be indebted
To have entered my life
And crept into my heart..
