Title: My Dream
I once dreamed a dream so beautiful that awaking seemed a punishment.
I dreamed of a meadow filled with flowers under a pleasant everlasting sky.
Birds were chirping a song filled with love and laughter, which they could only sing. The sun shone upon a small pond making it glisten and sparkle in the light.
I was there as well taking in all this glorious view.
Beauty and Love seemed to blossom here like tulips in the spring.
Cat and Dog were best of friends lying in warm sunshine.
Flowers tickled my ankles seeming to welcome me to this paradise.
I sat under a lovely apple tree that shaded me from the sun.
Children ran through the meadow laughing and playing happily.
Their parents bringing picnic baskets, every one of them filled to the brim. Setting out a tablecloth, they brought out fresh fruit and sandwiches and milk. The little children ran to eat not one complaining about how long to play. Laughter filled the meadow echoing across hills and mountains far away. Little girls ran to pick bouquets of small flowers for their mothers. Little boys sit on the cool grass as their brothers go to play.
My eyes opened as I returned to my room.
I grabbed some paper and a pen and wrote this poem.
Just before my father told me we were going for a picnic in the meadow.
