Title: The Path Of The Chosen (Part 43)
After 50 endearing minutes of walking, the Digidestined and the housepets decided to take a break before resuming their journey to Sotonamon's palace. Not only that but they had also decided to collect some lunch. After all, they couldn't travel or fight on empty stomachs because that would result in lack of energy to travel or fight. However, Sock wasn't eating as fast as he usually does as he was eating his meat apples rather slowly instead of ravenously, like usual. 'What's eating him?' Attila asked. 'Nothing, he's at the top of the food chain,' Hoagie said before he started laughing rather hysterically, like always. 'I think he means why is he so depressed,' Odie said. 'Well, I'm guessing either not being able to defeat Rockorromon when we were on Playaround Island or that he couldn't use Heavenly Apprehension properly,' Jimmy said. 'I think it's both. Because all of you do know that Sock is the leader of the Heaven Avengers and if he can't use Heavenly Apprehension correctly, it means that he's still inexperienced despite coming here to the Digital World with the others before,' Bokomon answered. Neemon sniffled and said, 'That's beautiful.' 'Cheer up, Sock. I know that you're upset about not controlling your new attack properly. But I'm certain that you'll learn to control it eventually,' Ari said as he gave his friend a pat on the back. 'You really think so, Ari?' Sock asked. 'Of course. I am your best friend, you know,' Ari said, matter-of-factly. After lunch, the gang then resumed their journey when they suddenly heard a familiar voice say, 'Me smell meddling humans again!' 'Oh no, not him again,' Odie said in frustration. 'What? What happened?' Jerry asked. Then, a familiar gnome-looking Digimon stepped out from behind the trees as he said, 'Youse surprised to see me?' 'Who the crud is he?' Wally asked. 'It can't be! It's Grumblemon again!' Sock yelled in horror. 'Yeah, but did Sotonamon bring him back to life too?' Ari asked. 'Youse got it! Master Sotonamon bring me and other Dark Warriors back to life because he too have ability to bring evil Digimon back to life,' Grumblemon said while snickering. 'Look, pal! We've defeated you before and we'll defeat you again!' Takuya shouted. 'Is that threat? Me will be glad to crush you like pesky insects again!' Grumblemon shouted as he was covered in bands of Fractal Code. 'Execute! Slide Evolution! Gigasmon!' Grumblemon shouted as he Slide Evolved to Gigasmon. The Digidestined and the housepets then Beast Spirit Evolved to their Beast forms while Sock and the others became their Digimon forms so that they could take on Gigasmon.
