Title: The Path Of The Chosen (Part 44)

'Looks like it's time to raise the temperature! Pyro Barrage!' BurningGreymon shouted. He held out his arms and fired a barrage of fire blasts that struck Gigasmon repeatedly. 'Poison Sting!' Snakemon shouted. He opened his mouth and unleashed a barrage of white poisonous needles that Gigasmon blocked off with his arms. Hornetmon and Parrotmon both flew in and tackled the evil Warrior of Earth to the ground but he punched Parrotmon really hard in the gut while rapidly pummeling Hornetmon into the ground. 'Minerva's Crossbow!' Rittermon shouted. He pulled out his crossbow as it started charging with energy then fired an arrow of energy that struck Gigasmon in the chest, but it didn't affect him too much. 'There must be a way to stop him! But how?' MetalKabuterimon asked. 'I've got him from here! Water Cannon!' Sharkmon shouted. He opened his mouth and unleashed a pressurized blast of water that blasted Gigasmon into the trees. 'That all you've got? Me will show you how to attack! Tectonic Slam!' Gigasmon shouted. He leapt into the air then slammed his fists on the ground, causing the ground to shake rather violently, knocking the gang to the ground. Gigasmon then let out a victorious laugh. 'We may be down but not out!' Feraldramon shouted as he started surging with energy like a DBZ fighter. It turned out that Feraldramon can also use Heavenly Apprehension like Sockiomon. But just like the last time, the attack then fizzled out before Feraldramon had a chance to fire it. 'Come on!' Feraldramon yelled in anger before he was suddenly pinned down by Gigasmon. 'Feraldramon! Alright, Gigasmon, you mess with him, you mess with us! Proximity Burst!' Tyrotimon shouted. He crossed his arms across his chest as he started glowing a dark red color then rapidly brought his arms out, firing a dark red energy blast that hit Gigasmon, catching him off guard. 'I thought for certain that Feraldramon could use Heavenly Apprehension too!' Plantmon said. 'Quagmire Twister!' Gigasmon shouted. He held out his arms and started spinning in a tornado and struck each of the others as they all yelled out in anguish. Unfortunately, the attack took place near a large cliff. Gigasmon then used another Quagmire Twister that blew KendoGarurumon, SnowFoxmon, Zephyrmon, Meowmon, MetalKabuterimon, Sharkmon, Feraldramon, Rittermon, Christiamon, Hornetmon, Parrotmon, Abigail, Hoagie, and Wally near the cliff. 'Bye-bye, whiny humans! Tectonic Slam!' Gigasmon shouted. He leapt into the air then slammed his fists into the ground, causing the ground around the cliff to crack, sending KendoGarurumon and his group down the side of the cliff as they all screamed with anguish. 'No, guys! BurningGreymon yelled in horror as he watched the others fall down the side of the cliff. 'That does it, Gigasmon! You're gonna pay for pushing our friends around!' JagerLowemon roared in anger. 'Can youse beat me without your friends now?' Gigasmon asked rather smugly. 'You're going down now, Gigasmon!' Korikakkumon shouted. 'Yeah!' The others shouted altogether. Gigasmon's smugness then disappeared when he noticed BurningGreymon and his group glaring at him in anger. Gigasmon was so scared that he decided to make a run for it. 'Later, humans!' Gigasmon yelled as he dove into the ground and tunnelled away to safety. With the battle over for now, the gang then reverted back to their old selves again, feeling proud of themselves for getting rid of Gigasmon. 'Oh, yeah! You'd better run!' Calvin shouted. They were happy that they were able to get rid of Gigasmon but they felt sad about their friends getting sent over the cliff. 'Don't worry, Takuya. This has happened before. I'm sure that we'll meet up with them again eventually,' Garfield said. 'I hope you're right, Garfield. I hope you're right,' Takuya said.
