Title: The Path Of The Chosen (Part 46)

Koji and his group walked and walked through the forest, but unfortunately, they still couldn't see any sign of Takuya or the others anywhere. They traveled over rivers, through swamps, up hills, and even beyond shrubs and bushes. After 4 hours, Koji and his group began to feel very hungry. They hadn't eaten anything since lunch, which was 10 hours ago. 'Man, I am so hungry,' JP groaned while holding his stomach with one hand. 'You're telling me,' Odie said as he couldn't hold his head up straight, due to hunger. 'I'm about to wither away from hunger,' Sock said with his tongue hanging out of his mouth. 'So hungry... need nourishment,' Jimmy moaned before he let out a long groan. 'Yeah, I'm probably hungry enough to eat a chili dog the size of a maglev,' Hoagie moaned while holding his stomach with both hands. 'This is just our luck, we're hungry and there aren't any berry bushes or meat apple trees in sight in this area,' Bucky said. 'Look, guys, I know that we're hungry but whining about it isn't going to help anything,' Koji said. 'Hey, are those lights I see over there?' Apteryxmon said. The gang then looked over to see a small village with lights on. The group knew that where there was a village, there was bound to be food so with no time to waste, Koji and his group began to run down the road that would lead them to the village that awaited them. When the gang got there, they were shocked and surprised to see the village getting attacked by a gorilla-looking Digimon with white fur all over his body and a power cannon for a right arm. It was Gorillamon, a Digimon whose strength made up for his intelligence and could attack his enemies with his Energy Cannon attack. Gorillamon roared then pounded his chest. 'I know that it's a long shot, but let's take him on, guys!' Koji shouted as him and the others pulled out their D-Tectors. Koji, Nermal, Zoe, Arlene, JP, and Odie Spirit Evolved into their Human Spirits while Sock and the others became their Digimon forms and Abigail, Hoagie, and Wally pulled out their weapons. 'Energy Cannon!' Gorillamon shouted. He held the cannon on his right arm and fired a beam of purple energy that the group narrowly dodged. 'Hey, ape boy! Get ready for a real shock! Lightning Blitz!' Beetlemon shouted. He ran in with electricity crackling on his horn and tried to ram Gorillamon, but unfortunately, Walrumon was in the way and ended up getting electrocuted by the attack. 'Oh, sorry, Odie,' Beetlemon said as he nervously put his hand behind his head. Aprisamon tried to use a Speed Ninja Scimitar attack but the attack missed Gorillamon by two inches. The speedy reptile Digimon then landed on the ground but he lost his balance and fell to the ground. Bonesiamon tried to use a Slash Bone attack but Tunatromon was also in the way of the attack and ended up getting hit. 'Satchel, watch where you're aiming your attack!' Tunatromon yelled. 'Sorry, Bucky,' Bonesiamon said. Lobomon then realized that him and the others had trouble trying to lay a hit on Gorillamon because their minds were starting to be affected by their empty bellies. Gorillamon gave a laugh and said, 'Go ahead, hit Gorillamon with all you've got!' 'There must be a way to beat him, but how?' Centurionmon said. 'Maybe instead of trying to hit him, we can get him to try to leave,' Hoagie said. 'Hoagie Gilligan, I like the way you think,' Walrumon said. 'Hey! What about me?' Beetlemon asked. 'Don't worry, JP, you're still my traveling partner,' Walrumon said.
